About Josie:
On March 17th, 2010, 15 year old Josie Lou Ratley was the victim of a brutal crime when she was confronted by a teenage boy who beat her until she was unconscious after school.
Josie was just released from the hospital where she was in a coma for four weeks. The months ahead are going to be extremely difficult for Josie and financially overwhelming for her family. Josie needs our help on her road to recovery. She is now undergoing intense therapy. Josie's beating underscores the severity of the problem of teen violence in America.
The community has organized this ride to raise money to help Josie," said John Esposito, one of the many organizers of this event and father of a 7th grader who attends Josie's school. "We're trying to raise awareness and get the community involved in helping this child and her family recover from this tragedy." In a show of support to raise funds, all cyclists are invited to participate in "Let's Break The Cycle... A Ride for Josie."
Please join us on Sunday, June 27th, 2010 for this charity bike ride. Together, we can make a difference.
