I was checking out the Downtown Delray Beach website looking for upcoming events. I found a link to a two page brochure for a self-guided walking/biking tour of the downtown area. Here is a link to the brochure in PDF format: Historic Bike Tour.
The brochure includes a map of the downtown area which is divided into 5 sections: SE section, NE section, NW section, SW section and Oceanside section. Each section is marked with points of interest, such as churches and historical buildings, that can be found along each section.
The brochure is a joint effort of the Delray Beach Historical Society, Delray Beach Downtown Marketing Cooperative, City of Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, Downtown Development Authority and the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce.
If you happen to be in the area, or vacationing in Delray Beach, check out the historic walking/biking tour of the downtown area. A great way to get a bit of exercise while exploring sites of interest.
Hello and welcome to the Bike Diva site! This is a brand new blog that is run by a chick that loves to bike.

The Bike Diva
Hi, my name is Lynn Smythe and I will be your bike diva. We currently have 9 bikes at our house. My kids aren’t bike freaks, they only use their wheels to get around the neighborhood. My son has an old Trek clunker which we got at our favorite bike store for only $50. My daughter is currently riding a Townie Electra that she got last year for Christmas.
My husband and I are the bike freaks in the family. He owns a Kona chopper, and three Cannondales - a Cannondale urban bike, a Cannondale mountain bike, and his carbon frame Cannondale road bike.
I only have three bikes at the moment but am thinking about getting an urban bike. I have a Nirve beach cruiser for real casual rides (it has coaster brakes and only 3 speeds and weighs ten tons!). My other two bikes are Cannondales - an awesome mountain bike and my baby, a carbon frame Cannondale Synapse 2 feminine specific road bike.

Cannondale Synapse 2
I’ll be posting about mountain biking, road biking, freak biking (chopper bikes, custom built bikes), charity bike ride events, my favorite bike gear and whatever else comes to mind that is related to biking.
Take care - Lynn, AKA the Bike Diva
