South Broward Wheelers Cycling Jersey
The South Broward Wheelers 24th Annual Century Ride takes place on Sunday, November 2nd, 2008. The ride starts at 7:30 AM from Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, Florida.
Cyclists can choose from 32, 62 or 100 mile options. A free t-shirt is given to the first 350 registrants. The ride includes fully stocked rest stops and SAG support throughout the ride. Complimentary breakfast and lunch are served at Brian Piccolo Park before and after the ride.
Funds from the South Broward Century Ride supports their annual Holiday Bike Give-a-Way. To date, South Broward Wheelers, in conjunction with Target, has donated close to 1,000 bikes and helmets. The bikes are distributed throughout Broward County, through different agencies and benefit underprivileged children. If you can’t make the ride, but want to help the South Broward Wheelers with their fund raising efforts, consider making a donation. A $50 donation purchases 1 bike and 1 helmet for a child.

My husband and I participated in this ride 2 years ago. We know a few members of the South Broward Wheelers cycling club. It is a really well organized ride. Lots of food available at the breakfast served before the ride, along the rest stops, and at the lunch served after the ride. I highly recommend this ride to any cyclist’s that are able to participate. Due to scheduling conflicts, we weren’t able to participate in the ride last year. This year, we have our last 16K time trial race of the season on the same day.
